As I scammed the internet, searching for something to catch my eye, I stumbled upon the Nike Women's Marathon. I was looking for some new running shoes to help me stay on track with my toning program (it's not weight loss, I'm not worried about my weight right now....) when I saw a tab that advertised the NWM.

I'm interested.

There isn't a lot of information available yet. But the race is going to be in October. I think that gives us plenty of time to start training. I'll be giving you more information as it comes to me.

Here's my theory-

She will love anything you give her. Simple? yes Easy? No.
I mean guys (and girls) you have to think about what it is you want her to have. then you have to go buy it. and you also have to wait and wait and wait until Feb. 14, with anxiety, praying she likes it.

Guys (and girls), the purpose of Valentines day in America is "buy buy buy spend spend spend. and oh yeah, love". That's not what valentines day is about people. It's about LOVE. Love your girl, love your boy, love yourself. Go out and get her some flowers, get her a pretty sweater, get her some smell goods and pretty, shiny things. Put thought into it. Get a pretty card (I recommend Papyrus, they're hand crafted and adorable) and tell her you love her. She'll love it. Wanna bet?

The thing is guys, don't go crazy. Don't spend all your money. More than likely, you don't have THAT much money to spend anyway. It's not about money. Go to the movies and laugh. Kiss. Hug. (Celebrities do it, so it must be right)

But seriously. I think that this means more to her than any $200 purse or $89 pair of shoes. If she doesn't (and don't tell her I said this) maybe you haven't found the right heart to love.

I'm Back...Tatooless.

Hello Fab-no wait-, Haute readers!

I'm back, without a tattoo. Ladies, I want to remind you that I live you in Chicago, where it's ALWAYS cold between the months of November and March. So yes, getting a tattoo on my lower neck/upper back compromised the health and the beauty of my skin. And we all know that in the upcoming months, where Bathing Suit bodies are a must have- skabbing and redness is very unappealing. While I myself don't tan, I have seen the damage and perils of those who do.

For the month of February, I have a LOT planned including *but not limited to*

- V-Day
-Candie for you Skin
-Books, Movie and other "Haute" mediums

Finally, for my ladies out there who need to organize their make-up assortment, I will have a guest writer who will help ease the stresses of too much junky,sticky, powdery, messes.

Just like a Tattoo...

Well ladies, I'm normally against getting body art or piercing outside of the normal earlobe and may a second hole rite above that one. cartilage piercing..not particularly my style.

However, my mother, an artsy, style enthusiast and very classy woman of 49 will tell you that a tattoo does not determine class, but that the owner in fact denotes the class. With that being said, she has two cute, very subtle tattoos, one on her ankle and one on her back shoulder. I will say that she is pretty in shape and so these have not stretched or shifted as they sometimes can.

I have decided to get a tattoo. YES YES i know, fashionistas usually rely on clothing to show off there haute-ness, but honestly, when you see what I'm getting you may be inspired to go get some paint of your own.
